Tennis Always a Favorite

Maybe earlier games and fewer rackets, but it's always on

Top middle: The tennis players take a break, from left, Peggy Gray, Sheri McMasters, Patty Miller, and Arlene Anderson. Top left, Sheri blasts a return while at top right, Cindy Armstrong whips a mean backhand. Middle, Arlene shows off her favorite ball. Bottom right, Patty serves a fireball. Below left, Peggy readies for a return. Bottom right, Iren Vass fires back.

Even with the advent of pickleball, tennis is still a Los Lagos Vistas favorite. As spring turns into summer, the games start earlier and fewer rackets show up, but it's year-around. Players of all skill levels are welcome.

Wednesday and Saturday mornings are great times to find some racketeers looking for a few fun sets.

Rec Area Improvements Underway

In related news, the HOA Board approved an architectural request to pour concrete pads at the court entry to make it easier for players to access equipment hanging on the fence and to reduce the potential for kicking rocks onto the recently refurbished courts.

The project also includes repairing deteriorating concrete around main pillars on the Rec Area patio. The deterioration has caused a trip hazard that will be removed.

The Social Committee and the Rec Area Committee are making things look great with the pool repairs, added patio space, added lending library shelves, new safety railings, Allo WiFi, and new lounge cushions. The committee volunteers also have been sprucing up the rock areas, painting the pool-equipment building, and adding landscape ornaments to add color and comfort.

Nice job from people who care. Thanks!
