HOA 2026 goals presented at Annual Meeting

Jason Hart and Mark Holmes retained their HOA Board seats at the Annual Meeting election Feb. 19 at the Hampton Inn. One write-in vote was made, but 102 votes were cast for the incumbents.
The meeting was not a regular business meeting, but the agenda included the election, a review of 2025 accomplishments, and sharing of 2026 goals. Additionally, committee leaders shared information about each area of focus, including Circle Captain, dog area, landscaping, memorial, recreation area, and social committees.
On a sad note, long-time resident and friend Carol Rumann passed away recently. She had organized the annual Memorial event. Maria Hart and Doreene Schaffer volunteered to continue the event honoring residents who passed away during the year. The event will be held in March.
Jason Hart provided a summary of key achievements during 2025, including the pool refurbishment, fire hydrant restoration, patio roof repairs, new security cameras, and more. A detailed list of accomplishments is included in the annual report that was distributed at the meeting.
Hart also listed goals for 2026, including carport repairs, a tennis court refurbishment plan, water conservation, and other projects. A critical issue that must be worked through is skyrocketing HOA insurance rates, up about 32% this year driven by inflation and a pending lawsuit against the HOA that is being challenged.
HOA 2026 Goals
The HOA’s 2026 goals are aligned with the association’s strategic objectives that were developed from a series of homeowner meetings to develop a long-range plan. The plan identified the HOA vision that “Los Lagos Vistas is the premier Lake Havasu City condominium and townhome community” and its mission, “Create a vibrant community that enhances neighborhood security and safety, and provides amenities that contribute to an excellent quality of life.”
The plan has five strategic objectives built around operations and maintenance, long-range capital improvements, governance and organizational efficiency, financial management, and creating community and wellbeing. The goals are aligned with each strategic objective and include:
