Social Committee may change events to cook up interest

HOA President Jason Hart reported at the last HOA Board meeting that the Board has been investigating purchase of a digital sign for several months to improve communication and notifications to homeowners and residents.
Additionally, the Social Committee also requested the Board to purchase and install a digital sign to help improve information dissemination.
Hart said the Board is narrowing its selection and where the sign might be installed to ensure greatest impact. The sign would be near the main Montana Vista entrance, possibly by the HOA mailbox, but not close to the entry way and public exposure.
"It’s important to the Board that the sign be of quality, rated for outside placement and large enough to read for all," Hart said. A decision will be made over the summer.
Social Committee Update
The Social Committee met in March to review its very active year. The group is considering different events to attact more participants, such as a chili cookoff.
One of the most popular events was the biscuits-and-gravy social event with mimosas.
Joyce Witte, Social Committee leader, said that despite the cost of food going up, the group was able to keep donations prices for each event at $15. Much of the food is homecooked by committee members.
